The governing structure of PPHC comprises of Board of Directors and members. The PPHC Board is committed to sound and transparent governance that will enhance its relationship with the stakeholders, build a productive culture of good corporate governance, leadership and embrace corporate practices based on integrity, excellence and equity within the organisation. PPHC endorses the Code of Corporate Practices and Conduct as contained in the King 3 Report.

Company Secretary
Adv. Brijraj was admitted as advocate of the high court of SA in 2008. He obtained BA in Law, BA Honours in Public Administration, and LLB Degree from University of KwaZulu – Natal, Howard College Campus. He serves as Company Secretary of Progressive Primary Health Care and chairs the HR & Legal Subcommittee. Adv. Brijraj also serves on a number of other Boards within KwaZulu-Natal.
Mr. NE Mpanza
Treasurer
Mr Mpanza has a Diploma in Teaching, B Com Accounting. He Taught at Umlazi Comtech High School, served Articles at Deloitte and moved on to serve SARS CUSTOMS – MIDP as Senior Auditor
Mr Mpanza serves as Treasurer and as Chairperson for Finance & Risk Management Subcommittee.
Ms. KE Msweli
Director
Ms Msweli has a Bachelors’ Degree and Honors in Social Work. She also holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has been serving on PPHC Board for 16 years and currently chairs the Programmes & Projects Subcommittee and also serve on the HR &Legal Subcommittee.
Dr. RR Badal
Director
Dr Badal has MBChB, a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics. She is the former Clinical Services Manager of EThekwini Health District Office. Dr Badal serves on PPHC Board, is the Chairperson of Marketing & Fundraising Subcommittee and a member of Finance & Risk Management Subcommittee.
Ms. MV Theron
Director
Ms Theron holds a B Cur Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery, Diploma in Paediatric Nursing Science, B Cur Nursing Science, Community Health and Nursing Education, Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing Science, Diploma in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Ms Theron serves on the Marketing & Fundraising and Programmes & Projects Subcommittees. She is a former Chairperson of the KZN Provincial Council of the National Cancer Association and also served on the National Board of the Cancer Association of South Africa. She also previously served on the Board of Pinetown Child Welfare Society.

Mr Ngcamu is a qualified Professional Nurse with a Diploma in General Nursing, Diploma in Midwifery, Diploma in Nursing Education and B. Cur E et A. He is currently serving in the Programmes & Projects Subcommittee. Mr Ngcamu is a former Secretary of the KZNPPHC Board. He has worked as a Professional Nurse in various government Institutions, and he is currently lecturing in various nursing colleges.
Ms. CL MATHE

Ms Mathe is a qualified Professional Nurse with Diploma in General Nursing, Diploma in Midwifery and BA CUR 1993. She is a member of the Programmes & Projects Subcommittee and has served in a number of professional and business boards. Ms Mathe is also a member of KZN Community Nurses’ Society, an examination moderator for Natal College of Nursing and a committee member of the HIV /AIDS support Programme at St James catholic church called Asiphile.
Mr. AN Tshabalala

Mr Amos Tshabalala a Professional Nurse, worked for the National Department of health as health assistant from 1968 till 1971. Has worked in various health institutions specialising in health education and TB education. Has been a board member at St Marys Hospital and has been involved in community development projects for over forty years. He is currently serving in the Programmes & Project Subcommittee.

Ms Rhosta Gcaba is a registered nurse. She practiced nursing from Primary Health Care to Provincial Health Care strategic planning level. She also lectured at the University of Natal Nursing department. After retiring from the department of health she worked for USAID monitoring TB program in KZN province. Currently serving in the Programmes & Project Subcommittee.
Mr. MAT FFORDE

Mr Mat Fforde is a qualified HR Practitioner, with over 30 years of Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations and Labour Law experience. Having operated in all industry and commerce sectors, Mat is an extremely experienced professional handling matters ranging from Union Consultations & Negotiations, Restructuring & Retrenchments, Strike Management, Incapacity, Poor Work Performance, Grievances, Disciplinary Hearings (from single employees to mass groups), Private Mediations and Facilitations as well as representing clients at the CCMA & Bargaining Councils. Mat also has Industrial Engineering qualifications and experience, having been instrumental in implementing factory layouts, linked production systems (such as KANBANS), supply chain optimization, SMED & LEAN SIGMA initiatives, work study (time & motion, method study and activity sampling), man assignments, visual factory, cell manufacture, scheduling, and many other techniques, variously employed to enhance production & manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. He has served as advisor to the PPHC Board.
