First Aid Level 3

1.1.1 Occupational Certification in Advanced Emergency First Aid Responder – (SP – 230803); NQF Level 4
An Advanced Emergency First Aid Responder is a risk-based first aid provider who plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well being of individuals in the workplace. This training is delivered through one knowledge and one practical module. At the end of training 6 credits will be accumulated. The duration of the training is four and a half days theory and five days practical. The practical component can be completed at the workplace. With advanced first aid skills and knowledge, the candidate learner can work as a first aid provider within a workplace setting. Certification in risk-based first aid can be valuable for a role as a health and safety officer. An advanced knowledge of first aid can open doors to become an event medic or first aid provider responsible for providing medical assistance to attendees, handling minor injuries, and coordinating with emergency services when necessary. Entry requirements to the advanced Emergency First Aid Responder is Skills Certificate in Intermediate Emergency First Aid, NQF Level 3.
